Raised in both South Carolina and Northern Maine, Jerith credits her upbringing as the major influence in her sense of style. She enjoys the principles of formality and genteel living found in Southern homes but also places a large emphasis on rugged practicality. Clients and industry professionals alike describe her as easy to work with and conscientious. She learned her love of furniture as a young girl working in her family’s antique shop and is a graduate of the prestigious International Baccalaureate programme. Jerith holds a BA in Fine Arts and attended Harrington College of Design and the University of South Carolina. She now lives overlooking Lake Michigan in Chicago with her husband and business partner Jim and their great dane Monroe.
In his position as the building systems consultant for Bailey Fox Interiors, Jim draws on his knowledge of residential and commercial construction to help clients maintain the architectural integrity of their projects. He believes that interior design should be built on a foundation of quality materials combined with simple, workable solutions. Jim comes to Bailey Fox Interiors with twenty plus years of project management experience. He is familiar with current Chicago and Illinois building, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety codes as well as the current best practices for quality construction. Besides his engineering background, Jim’s interior design sensibility is inspired by his extensive residence abroad where he studied construction methods and building materials in various countries. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and is a state licensed Professional Engineer.
